This notice describes what this site actually does with information, in plain language. It has not yet been reviewed by an attorney; we’ll say so here when it has. Last updated 2026-10-26.
The short version
We run this site ourselves; Cloudflare serves its pages and stores near-miss reports for us. We don’t use analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers. The only information we collect is what you choose to give us through the near-miss report form, and we use it for one purpose: making the case that this stretch of SR 77 should be widened.
The near-miss report form
What it collects. The date of the incident (optional), the closest landmark, direction of travel, incident type, a free-text description (optional), a link to video you’ve posted elsewhere (optional), and an email address (optional, only if you want to be contacted about your report). We do not accept photo or video uploads, and we do not record your IP address or browser details with the report. To keep out automated spam, the form runs Cloudflare Turnstile, a quick check of your browser and connection (see Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum), and we keep a scrambled form of your IP address for one hour to limit repeat reports. Neither is stored with your report.
Where it goes. Reports are stored in a database that Cloudflare runs for this site. They are not emailed anywhere and are not shared with anyone else. Site administrators can view and export them.
How we use it. To build a picture of where and how near-misses happen on this corridor, and to present that to ADOT, Pinal County, Central Arizona Governments, and elected officials. Anything we publish or present will be in aggregate (counts, locations, types) or with identifying details removed. We will not publish your email address or your description verbatim without asking you first.
How long we keep it. Until you ask us to delete it, or until the campaign concludes. To ask, send a new report through the near-miss form and say in the “What happened?” box which report you want deleted, for example by the date and place you gave.
Please don’t include other people’s identifying information (names, license plates, faces in linked video) without their consent. The form asks you to confirm this before submitting.

Cookies
This site doesn’t set cookies.
Linked and embedded content
Pages on this site link to outside sources (ADOT, NHTSA, news outlets, Wikimedia Commons) and may embed video from sites like YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and following a link or playing an embed means they may collect data as if you had visited them directly.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to delete it. We’ll do both unless we’re required to keep something for legal or security reasons, which we’d tell you.
